Yesterday's soul-shifting revelation is today's enigma and tomorrow's rubbish. And today's rubbish turns miraculously into tomorrow's revelation. As detectives trying to solve the mysteries of the soul, these uncertain conditions can make us feel more like Inspector Clouseau than Columbo.
